Steve Kyerematen
Board Chairman
Steve Kyerematen is an insurance and reinsurance professional who has garnered over 39 years of experience around the African continent. He currently serves as a member of the board of the ACTIVA FOUNDATION.
For the past 6 years, Stephen’s wealth of knowledge has helped propel the growth of the Activa Insurance Group in Mauritius, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea. Stephen has previously served as Ghana’s High Commissioner to Malaysia, a member of the Board of Directors of the Ghana Insurers Association, and the Chairman of the Ghana National Bureau of the ECOWAS Brown Card Insurance Scheme.
Edward Adu-Ntiamoah
Edward Adu-Ntiamoah is the Chief Executive Officer for UT Holdings Ltd. and a board member of both UT Holdings and UT Properties. He has devoted over 2 decades of illustrious service to the UT Group.
Mr. Adu-Ntiamoah’s expertise in corporate strategy, merger and acquisition and organizational culture design has been instrumental to the expansion of the UT group including the formation of other valued subsidiaries. Edward holds an Executive MBA (Finance) from the University of Ghana, and a BA (Hons), Accounting & Economics.
Michael Joyce
Michael is a specialist investor in financial services business in emerging markets and is currently a Director at LeapFrog Investments, a US $1B profit with purpose private equity fund.
Michael graduated with honours from the University of Melbourne with a dual degree in Commerce and Information Systems.
Raimund Snyders
Raimund Snyders is a partner and integral part of the African financial services team at LeapFrog Investments. With an unrivalled 30-year resume in insurance across the African continent, Raimund’s vast knowledge of all aspects of life, property and casualty insurance compliment his deep corporate and leadership acumen.
Raimund uses his expertise and in-depth knowledge of scaling financial services businesses in emerging markets to drive value creation in areas such as governance, client centricity and sales / distribution across Leapfrog’s African investments. He sits on LeapFrog’s management board and is also a director of LeapFrog company, Sri Lankan life insurer SoftLogic Life. Raimund joined LeapFrog from the Old Mutual Group where his last role was as CEO of Mutual & Federal. During his tenure he led a turnaround of the company, which rebranded under his leadership to become Old Mutual Insure. His experience at the Old Mutual Group includes distribution, bancassurance, investments and wealth management, and in a near 30-year career with the company he served as COO and head of distribution for Old Mutual’s African operations, EGM of Old Mutual’s South African insurance business, CEO of Old Mutual’s Namibian life insurance business and MD of Old Mutual Investment Services. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from Stellenbosch University, an advanced certificate in leadership with honours from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town, and is a graduate of the general management program in leadership at Harvard Business School. Raimund is a director of not-for-profit impact think tank, Cenfri, a previous chairman of the Credit Guarantee Insurance Group of Africa and a former director of the South African Insurance Association.
Linda Osei Akoto
Linda Osei-Akoto is a member of Insurance Institute for Applied Ethics, member of American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters and member of Insurance Institute of America, Inc.
She was the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director at NSIA Ghana Insurance CO. Ltd. from 2010 to 2016. Linda holds an undergraduate degree from The Université Félix Houphouët-Boigny, Cote D’Ivoire and received her Professional Insurance training in the USA.
Kwaku Yeboah-Asuamah
Chief Executive Officer
Kwaku has over 27 years’ experience in insurance, accounting, taxation, and strategy formulation & implementation.
Before joining miLife, he worked at KPMG as a Professional Accountant and a Tax Consultant. He later joined SDC as the Group Financial Controller. Kwaku also worked as the Financial Controller and General Manager (Finance) at Enterprise Life. As an Executive Director at Enterprise Life, he set up and managed Enterprise Trustees as a subsidiary of Enterprise Group.
Kwaku is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana, an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK), and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants-Ghana. He is a Certified Tax Professional and holds membership with the Chartered Institute of Taxation-Ghana. He also holds an MBA from the University of Wales and a BSc. in Administration from the University of Ghana.
Walters Yeboah Adofo
Chief Financial Officer
Walters is a seasoned professional with experience in Financial Reporting and Auditing, Financial Planning and Budgeting, Corporate Governance, Risk Management and Compliance. He brings to miLife over 19 years of experience in the insurance industry.
Prior to joining our team, he was the Chief Finance Officer of Metropolitan Group, Ghana and served on the board of Metropolitan Pensions Trust. He has also worked with KPMG Ghana as Audit Associate and Enterprise Life Insurance as Head of Finance.
Walters is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants-UK and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants-Ghana. He holds an MBA from the University of Leicester, UK and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Coast. He is also a product of Emile Woolf International, UK.

Kwaku Yeboah-Asuamah
Chief Executive Officer
Kwaku has over 27 years’ experience in insurance, accounting, taxation, and strategy formulation & implementation.
Before joining miLife, he worked at KPMG as a Professional Accountant and a Tax Consultant. He later joined SDC as the Group Financial Controller. Kwaku also worked as the Financial Controller and General Manager (Finance) at Enterprise Life. Walters Yeboah Adofo
Chief Financial Officer

Kofi Safo Ntim
Actuary
Kofi is miLife’s Actuary, with over 18 years’ insurance and Actuarial Consulting experience in Product Development, Risk Management, Budgeting and Financial Planning.
Kofi started his career at Towers Perrin Consulting Firm (USA) as an Actuarial Analyst and later qualified as an Actuary. He also has prior experience as an Actuarial Consultant with Mercer, USA and served as Actuarial Manager with the National Health Insurance Authority. Kofi was a Managing Partner with Stallion Consultants, where he led a team of actuaries to provide actuarial service to clients in the Life and Health insurance industries.
Kofi is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, USA. He holds an M.S. in Statistical Computing – Actuarial Science from the University of Central Florida and a B.S in Physics from Gustavus Adolphus College, Minnesota.
Victor Aggrey-Fynn
General Manager, Operations
Victor has been instrumental in advancing our life insurance operations and is one of the key drivers behind the growth of our microinsurance portfolio. His leadership has shaped product strategies and driven business expansion, building a robust microinsurance sales framework to enhance distribution while executing impactful, cost-effective marketing campaigns specifically tailored to the informal sector. Through his guidance, miLife pioneered mobile-delivered insurance products in partnership with MTN Mobile Money Limited and Vodafone Cash (now Telecel), reinforcing miLife’s position as an innovator in microinsurance. His commitment to excellence helped miWay earn the CIIG Insurance Product of the Year Award in 2019.
With over 20 years of experience, Victor’s expertise covers life insurance operations, sales and marketing, customer experience, and microinsurance product development and distribution. In his current role, he leads customer experience initiatives, ensuring a strong customer advocacy approach across all product lines. His exceptional contributions to the industry were recognized when he was named Insurance Professional of the Year at the 2021 Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (CIIG) Awards.
Before joining miLife, Victor was a Technical Advisor with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ-Ghana) on the Promoting Insurance in Ghana (PromIGH) Project under the Programme for Sustainable Economic Development (PSED). His career also includes roles at Donewell Life Company Limited, CDH Insurance in Ghana, and Barclaycard in the UK.
Victor is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), UK, and holds an MSc in Physics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), a Postgraduate Diploma in Actuarial Science from the University of Kent, UK, and an Advanced Diploma in Insurance from both the CII, UK, and the Ghana Insurance College. In 2019, he further enhanced his leadership skills through the LeapFrog Talent Accelerator C-Suite Leadership Training Program.
Benjamin Nketsiah
General Manager, Business Development
Benjamin has garnered over 21 years of experience in life insurance sales and distribution.
Prior to joining miLife, he was a Branch Manager at Enterprise Life Assurance Company Limited.
Benjamin holds an Executive MBA from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Michael Odonkor
Assistant General Manager of IT
Michael Odonkor, Assistant General Manager of IT at miLife Insurance, brings over two decades of expertise in IT infrastructure, systems management, and strategic leadership. At miLife, he leads the design and deployment of IT infrastructures and innovative applications that enhance customer experiences and streamline operations. His focus on digital transformation aligns IT strategies with business goals, improving efficiencies across the organization. Michael is passionate about advancing micro-insurance technologies to provide affordable insurance to underserved segments in Ghana.
Before joining miLife in 2014, Michael held key roles at IDN, UT Bank in Ghana, and UTFSL in Nigeria and South Africa, leading teams to design and deploy IT infrastructures and implement VPN technologies across multiple countries. Through his consultancy work for Ostec IT, Michael delivered IT solutions to various companies including Unilever, AED, Ghana Telecom and Technoserve.
Michael holds a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, is ITIL V4 certified, and has advanced expertise in Linux systems administration, Windows platforms, and internetworking technologies. His experience spans IT governance, risk management, and aligning technology with business strategies to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient IT solutions.

Safoa Awuku-Asabre
Head, Human Resource & Administration
Safoa holds more than 17 years of experience as an HR Professional.
Before joining miLife, she worked with Save the Children Fund, UK as Administrative Officer. Safoa also served as Administrative Manager at UT Financial Services, Head of HR & Admin at Unique Trust, and Performance Management & Remuneration Manager at UT Bank.
Safoa earned an Executive MBA (Human Resources) from the University of Ghana. She also has a Bachelor of Arts degree (Secretaryship) from the University of Cape Coast and a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, Accra. Safoa is a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management Practitioners, Ghana.
Rev. Evans Yaw Duku
Head, Alternative Distribution & Broker Relations
Evans leads the Group and Corporate Sales Team at miLife. He has 24 years of experience in Sales Training and Life Insurance Distribution.
Previously, he was the Head of Training and Development and later Head of Retail Sales at miLife Insurance. Before joining miLife, he worked as a Sales Representative, and later as a Branch Manager at Metropolitan Insurance Company.
Evans is a Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (CIIG) and holds Applied Insurance Studies (AIS) Diploma from the Malta International Training Centre and the Ghana Insurance College. He also has qualifications in Marketing, Selling & Sales Management, and Public Relations from the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).
He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and the Study of Religions from the University of Ghana, a Master and Doctorate degrees in Theology from the Immanuel Bible Institute and Seminary in Brooklyn, New York, USA.
Martin Amudzi
Head, Finance & Investment
Martin has over 19 years of experience in Accounting, Financial Management, and Taxation.
Martin was previously a Senior Finance Officer in charge of Treasury at CDH Insurance (now NSIA Ghana).
Martin is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants-Ghana. He has an MBA in Finance from the Graduate School of Business, Central University College.
Jojoe Arhin Agyeman-Weittey
Head: Agency, Learning and Development
Jojoe leads agency administration, brand management and company-wide learning and development. He has over 20 years of experience in insurance technical operations, banking, sales & marketing, project management, and academia.
Prior to joining miLife, he worked with Metropolitan Life, Express Life, Prudential Life, ESICH Life, uniBank Ghana, Akosombo Textiles Limited, CTD Textiles, Non-Formal Education Division and the University of Professional Studies, Accra.
Jojoe is a Chartered Insurer, an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK (ACII) and the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (ACIIG). He holds a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Applied Insurance Studies (AAIS) from the Malta International Training Centre and Ghana Insurance College.
He is a Certified Project Manager and a Fellow of the American Academy of Project Management, USA (FAAPM).
He also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Alternative Dispute Resolution from the University of Ghana School of Law. He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the GIMPA Law School and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from the University of Ghana.
Rudolph Leslie Svanikier
Head, Microinsurance
He has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. He has worked in various departments including Sales and Marketing, Claims, Premium Administration and Quality Control.
Prior to his appointment, he worked as a Corporate Relationship Manager in Alternative Distribution (Corporate Business) at miLife.
Rudolph is a Chartered Insurer, an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (ACIIG), holds a Diploma in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK (DipCII) and an Advanced Certificate in Marketing (CIM UK).
Kwame Manu-Antwi
IT Operations Manager
Kwame is a seasoned IT Manager with over 20 years of experience across Telecoms, Agribusiness and FMCG. Having started his professional career at Ghana Telecoms (now Telecel), he spent over fourteen years with Unilever in Ghana, Nigeria and French West Africa before exiting as IT Manager, Unilever West Africa. He is also the Founder of TalentIT Africa, an IT services and consulting firm.
During his extensive career, Kwame has been a catalyst to many digital transformation projects in Ghana, Nigeria, Cote D’Ivoire, Niger, Congo DR and Kenya. He has driven the implementation of ERP, HR/Payroll and workplace management systems.
Kwame is passionate about IT Business Partnering, facilitation, Project Management and Artificial Intelligence. He has been a conference speaker at ISACA’s IT Audit and Controls Africa Conference several times and has facilitated Digital Forensics Investigation training for International Institute of Certified Forensic Investigation Professionals.
Kwame is a Certified PRINCE II Project Practitioner and certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Statistics from the University of Ghana and a Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Coventry University.
Christiana Atwemaa Kyei
Head, Underwriting
Christiana, is a results-driven insurance professional with over 15 years of experience in underwriting, premium administration and business development.
Christiana joined miLife as a Business Development Officer and later as a Premium Administration Officer and worked in that capacity for 8 years. She was appointed Head of Premium Administration in 2017 and worked in that capacity for 5 years until her current appointment as Head of Underwriting.
Prior to joining miLife, Christiana started her insurance career with SIC Insurance Company Ltd. (Sales & Marketing Dept.). She has also worked with Manifold Tutorial College as an Administrative Assistant.
Christiana is a Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK and Ghana. Previously, she held the position of Head of Underwriting for over four (4) years, demonstrating a deep understanding of risk evaluation, pricing, and reinsurance processes. Additionally, she played a critical role in maintaining compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies.
She started her career with KEK Insurance Brokers as a Sales Agent during long vacations while pursuing her first degree. This early role provided her with foundational exposure to the life insurance business. She is a Chartered Insurance Professional, an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (ACIIG) and a Senior Associate Member of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF). She is a Certified Young Insurance Professional in Insurance and Reinsurance (YIPP) from the London School of Insurance (LSI) and a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute in the United Kingdom (Cert CII). How do I pay the monthly premium?

How does the savings work?
The policy is designed for every customer to select a monthly savings amount subject to a minimum of GHS5 every month. The savings amount is a top-up on your monthly risk premium. Savings accrue interest based on prevailing market interest rate.

What documents are needed for claims?
The customer or beneficiary will be asked to go to any Telecel Branch Office or designated merchant to submit: 1. A valid national ID (Voter Card, Driver’s License, Passport, Ghana Card, SSNIT ID) of person making claim
2. A valid national ID of deceased
3. And any of the following:
– Death Certificate
– Medical certificate indicating cause of death (if deceased died at a hospital)
– Police report in case of accidental death
– Mortuary receipt with contact details (if deceased was taken to a mortuary)
– A letter from a recognized authority or institution
4. Proof of disability shall be a certification from a qualified medical practitioner, recommended and recognized by us, stating that you are totally unfit to perform substantially all of the duties of any gainful occupation for which you are reasonably trained.
What is total permanent disability?
A condition that prevents you from working in any occupation for 3 months and you become incapacitated to such an extent that you are unlikely to ever be able to work in any occupation for which you are reasonably suited by training, education or experience.
Partial permanent disability
A condition that makes you partially but permanently incapacitated. For example, loss of toe, thumb or finger. Refer to table 1 below for schedule.

Exclusion
This policy shall cover of all forms of death and disability out of any accident unless risks are considered illegal for cover.

This policy has no term duration or maturity period upon registration.
Frequency
A policyholder must pay premiums monthly.Timeliness
It is your responsibility to fund your wallet to ensure that your premiums reach us at the specified time.
Eligibility
You can subscribe if you are between ages 18 to 59 years. You must be in good health and be resident in Ghana at the time of subscription.

Waiting Period
When your policy starts, there is 6 months (180 days) period during which no benefit will be paid, except for death or total permanent disability as a result of an accident.
Accidental death shall mean death by bodily injury caused solely and directly by violent, external, unintentional and visible means. Causes of death relating to illness, diseases or the ageing process shall be deemed to be caused by natural causes.
Medical Exam
The policy does not require medical examination.
Changes
If you increase your monthly premium, you will still be insured under your old benefit amount for 6 months (180) days after the increase. Your new benefit only applies after the four months have passed.
You may change your selected beneficiaries during the validity of the policy. If your beneficiary is below 18 years, you will be required to select a trustee.
Missed Payments
If you miss three (3) monthly premiums, your policy will become inactive and you will lose your benefits. Your policy becomes reactivated when you pay at least one-month premium. A waiting period of 6 months (180 days) apply for reactivated policies. Any premiums you miss will be deducted from the benefits to be paid to you or your beneficiary.
Maximum Benefit Payable
The maximum amount of benefit that can be paid on an insured person is GHS 12,900. If a subscriber has multiple premiums on different Momo wallets, they will receive up to GHS 12,900.
Termination/Expiry
Your policy is terminated if you pass away, cancel the policy. If you cancel the policy, any savings you have will be paid to you.
Reinstating a Terminated Policy
If your policy ceases you can request surrender benefit payout or request to be re-instated.
Agreement
This document shall form the basis of the entire contract. Any changes passed through any appropriate endorsement to these documents shall be accepted as part of the contract.
In the event of any disputes between you and us, we will endeavor to solve the matter ourselves. If we are not able to resolve the difference, an independent arbitrator including the National Insurance Commission shall be engaged in accordance with the Arbitration Act 1964 of Ghana.

miCash is an endowment plan that helps you save towards a target amount. The target amount can be used as capital to start your business, funds for your child(ren)’s education etc. Your target amount will be paid out to you at maturity or to you or your beneficiaries in the unfortunate event of your death, total permanent disability or diagnoses of a covered critical illness.
You will also be paid GH¢ 250 each time you are hospitalised for 3 nights or more whiles on the policy. This benefit is up to a maximum of 2 times in a year.

Credit Life for Loan Protection
Credit Life provides cover for lending institutions against the death or total permanent disability of the borrower. This product ensures that the lending institution is not saddled with the challenge of pursuing the assets of deceased or disabled borrowers, but are reimbursed the outstanding loan amount by miLife. It also provides total peace of mind to the surviving family members of the borrower by relieving them of the obligation to repay the loan when the borrower dies or suffers total and permanent disability.
Who is the Policy for?
Lending financial institutions that want to ensure that their loans are recouped even when the borrower becomes deceased or disabled. Individual borrowers can also fall on us for insurance cover to secure their loans.

Total permanent disability as result of illness or accident
Total temporary disability as result of accident

In the event of death or total permanent disability of the borrower, miLife will make a lump sum payment of the outstanding loan amount to the lending institution.

Mortgage Life for Mortgage Protection
Mortgage Life provides protection against repossession by the financier of a property acquired through mortgage loans, should the policyholder(borrower) die or become permanently disabled before the end of the full repayment term. The outstanding mortgage (loan) balance will then be paid by miLife to the financier/Lender. This product ensures that the financier of the mortgage facility is not saddled with the challenge of pursuing the assets of deceased or disabled borrowers, but are reimbursed the outstanding loan amount by miLife. It also provides total peace of mind to the surviving family members of the borrower by relieving them of the obligation to repay the loan when the borrower dies or suffers total and permanent disability.

The Keyman Life policy provides protection against monetary losses to a business organization as a result of death or total permanent disability of a valuable or key employee. It pays for the cost of replacement of that key person. Payment of benefit is subject to the Sum Assured.

What is a waiting period?
Waiting period is a period during which only claims arising from death as a result of an accident or total permanent disability as a result of an accident will be paid.

What happens when I pass on in the course of my policy?
Your named beneficiary is solely entitled to claim the policy benefits. In the event of beneficiary being a minor, the named trustee will claim the policy benefits on his/her behalf.
What is the difference between surrender and termination?
Surrender is when a client stops an investment linked policy for a cash value. Termination is the cancelling of an insurance policy without a cash value. Surrender is usually linked to investment related insurance policies whereas termination is related to pure risk policies.
How old do I need to be before I can take a policy with miLife?
The minimum entry age for all policies is eighteen (18) years. However, minors can be covered by their parent’s policies. The maximum entry age differs in each policy. This spans between fifty-five (55) years to seventy-five (75) years.
How long does it take to process my claim/partial withdrawal?
Five (5) working days for a death claim with investigations and 2 working days for all other claims.
